Description
This charming watercolour captures a carriage horse trotting along the estate paths of Escrick Park. Cattle can be seen out to pasture in this vast parkland landscape, contently grazing under a dead oak. The watercolour has been well presented in a delicate gilt-effect frame with swept rails. Inscribed by the artist to the lower right with the estate name and dated, possibly 'May' 1887. On paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and light foxing. Various losses visible to the frame's swept rail and delicate ornaments.
