Painter and teacher born in Fleet, Hampshire. She attended Clapham High School, 1919-22 where her initial art studies began and later studied landscape painting under Reginald St. Clair Marston, every summer for fourteen years while working as a teacher at Lord Digby's School in Dorset. Wickham was elected a member of the Society of Women Artists in 1936 and in 1938 she was elected Royal Institute of Painters in watercolours and also exhibited at the Royal Academy. Early retirement from teaching in 1953 enabled her to devote more time to painting and travel and she held her first solo exhibition in 1988 at Chesil Gallery, Chiswell. Bridport Museum and Dorset Natural History and Archaeological Society hold examples of her work.
