Description

After Adriaen Jansz van Ostade (1610-1685). An intimate and highly detailed 19th-century watercolour depicting a Dutch painter busy working in his studio. Daylight can be seen flooding in from a large glass window, directly hitting the artist and his easel. Works on paper can be seen lying on the ground, slowly drying as the artist continues to work with full concentration. The watercolour has been well presented in a gilt-effect frame with delicate running patterns. Unsigned. On paper.

Condition

The watercolour is in good condition with minimal discolouration. Signs of wear and small chips noted to the gilt-effect frame.

Size
