Original Late 19th Century Oil. In a simple gilt frame which is newer than the picture. Inscription verso 'from the Funch Exhibition 1860. C.W. Bartar', after an engraving made originally for the Illustrated London News. Unsigned. On board. There two very small losses to the varnish, one in the upper left quadrant and the other in the upper right corner. Abrasions to the far edges where board has rested against the frame, otherwise in fine condition. Inspection under UV light reveals no sign of restoration.
