A charming late Victorian oil showing a young boy in a worker's smock with a basket at his side in a field with pulled radish around his feet. The artist has signed illegibly to the lower right and the painting has been presented in a simple gilt slip. On canvas.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Inspection under UV light reveals an area of restoration at the boy's left foot. There is a canvas repair to the reverse.
