Description

A fine early 20th Century hunting scene, showing an English Springer Spaniel proudly holding its prey in its mouth as it emerges from the undergrowth. The painting is unsigned and a canvas stamp at the reverse dates this painting around the turn of the Century On canvas.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Inspection under UV light reveals large areas of overpainting and restoration. The stretcher lines are visible at the upper and left edges.
