An ornate late nineteenth century picture frame, featuring a swept rail, with detailed foliate ornamentation. What makes this frame particularly distinctive, however, is its shaped inner slip, which provides additional depth and creates separation between the artwork and the elaborate carving.

Condition
Overall the condition is good, with most of the ornate mouldings intact. There are small losses to the lower corners, and one to the lower edge. Cracks to the mouldings, as well as some minor scuffs and chips to the paint. No scratches to the glass.
