Ornate 19th-century gilt picture frame. Finished with floral and acanthus detailing to the swept rail, pronounced center and corner ornamentation, and fine running patterns.
Measurements for the frame:
Window (60.5 x 46 cm); rebate (62 x 47 cm); frame size (83 x 68.5 cm).
Condition
Light wear and stable cracking to the swept rail. Later repairs noted to the pronounced acanthus moldings. Visible damage to the frame window in the upper right corner.
