Joseph H. Dille (1820-1918) - Signed Original 1869 Oil. An exquisite portrait of a high class lady wearing jewelled earing and brooch. Signed and dated in red to the lower right. Beautifully presented in an oval gilt frame with tulip decoration to the edges. Signed and dated. On board. Some areas of the paint are worn. Inspection under UV light shows some areas of restoration in the sitter's hair. Other tiny spots of surface dirt, areas of blooming varnish near edges. A tiny split in the board support to the right hand edge.
