John Voss - 1997 Oil Buddha And Camellia
Description
A striking 20th Century still life, combining Surrealism with elements of exquisitely painted trompe-l'œil. The surrealist still life shows a Buddha, its golden surface crumbling to revela black underneath, sits on red steps, with a delicate white camellia flower in front. The vibrant colours and unusual composition make this a truly eye catching artwork. The artist has signed and dated to the lower right and inscribed with their address to the reverse.
