Description
A stipple engraving by John Raphael Smith (1751-1812) after George Morland (1763-1804), Plate 6 from the 'Laetitia' series. Presented in a white painted mount and a black lacquer wooden frame with a tin gilt-effect bead course to the inner edge and tin gilt-effect lozenge moulding to the outer edge. Inscribed with the title in plate to the lower edge, other information obscured by the mount. There is an identical impression in the collection of the British Museum. On wove.Condition
There is some discolouration to the engraving and some scuffs and marks to the frame.
