Description
A coloured oval stipple engraving depicting a shepherdess, her flock, and a man playing a musical instrument in the style of eighteenth-century French pastoral paintings, such as those by Francois Boucher (1703-1770). Coloured in plate. Presented glazed in a beige mount and distressed gilt-effect wooden frame. Signed in graphite to the lower-right edge. Date and publisher G. J. Howell & Co printed in plate to the upper edge. On wove.Condition
Some slight discolouration and a minor chip to the left side of the frame. Overall in fine condition.
