Description

A well painted landscape depicting Derwent Water in the Lake District, England. The fine brushstrokes and panoramic composition are wonderfully executed. It is clear the artist felt a deep connection with the British landscape in this romantic view of the English countryside. Well presented in a gilt frame with beading detail that runs along the inner edge of the frame. Signed. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

Very minor marks to frame. Overall in fine condition. Inspection under UV light shows no signs of restoration.
