A detailed genre scene by Scottish engraver and painter, John Burnet. A young family is pictured having just been saved from a shipwreck, recovering from their terrifying ordeal in the warm and dry of a fisherman's cottage. The engraving is inscribe with the title and artist name in the plate. Published in 1829, by Moon Boys & Graves. Well presented in a black wooden frame with gilt slip accent. Glazed. The condition is typical for a print of this age including some discolouration and light foxing. There is some dirt and debris under the glazing. The overall condition of the print is good.
