Attwood has created layers of impasto over an acrylic base with wax and oil as inscribed on the reverse. This creates rich and complex organic textures which perfectly captures the dynamic vision of a coastal scene at night. The mystical presence of a large blue bird hovering above the sea gives the composition a dream-like quality. Signed titled, dated and inscribed on the reverse. On canvas on stretchers.
