The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some flecks of paint loss and light cracking of the paint, however, this is stable. Minor scuffs to the frame. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.

Joe McIntyre was born in Dundee in 1940 and studied art in his hometown until 1964 when he graduated in Fine Art from Duncan Jordanstone College of Art. He was after that awarded a Post Graduate Scholarship and a Royal Scottish Academy Bursary in 1965. Since 1972 Joe has taught part-time at The Duncan Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee and has split his time between that and painting professionally.
He is a regular exhibitor in many Scottish galleries and has shown his work in several prestigious galleries in London and the USA.
