Artist Biography
Jilly Sutton is known primarily for her sculpture work are large scale figurative work, often featuring faces and figures. She trained as a sculptor at Exeter College of Art and furthered her artistic education in Nigeria where she was particularly inspired by carvings and textiles.
Sutton’s sculptures have been exhibited internationally and are in public and private collections internationally. Her carved wooden portrait of the former Poet Laureate Andrew Motion is in the National Portrait Gallery’s permanent collection.| SKU | rs224 |
