An expressive still life painting by Jehan Frison (1882–1961) depicting a mallard duck on an oval dish, alongside a wine bottle, a green glass, a porcelain teacup with blue decoration, and small shallots scattered across a red and white chequered cloth. Frison employs loose, textured brushwork and a warm, earthy palette to capture this busy table arrangement. Well presented in a painted wooden frame. Signed lower right. On board.
Condition
A light, even patina of age is present across the surface of the artwork. The picture frame is in excellent condition. Overall, the artwork is in very good condition for its age.
