A fine early 20th century oil still life featuring a partially peeled orange, a bunch of grapes in a basket and a cracked walnut, set against a warm, neutral background. The composition has been signed by the artist to the lower left. Well presented in a elaborate gilt-effect frame with floral and foliate ornamentation at the corners. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
The oil is in good condition with no signs of restoration. A small canvas nail can be seen piercing the front of the gilt frame to the lower rail near centre. The overall condition of the artwork is very good.
