A fine Belgian School expressive modernist portrait of a child, by the well listed Belgian artist Jeanne Brandsma. The artist has beautifully captured the expression and character of the sitter. Well-presented in a modern pale wooden frame with interior linen slip. Inscribed 'Max' to the lower left of the canvas. Unsigned and inscribed. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
In very good condition overall. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. Some light surface wear to frame.
