A fine landscape painting by British artist Jarrod Gabbitas. Here the artist has captured a quiet country village from a distance in expressive brushstrokes and bright colour. Best known for his portraits and nomination for the B.P Portrait Award in 1996. Gabbitas is also a skillful landscape artist, using vivid colour and a slanted perspective to create a contemporary feel to his compositions. Inscribed on the reverse "To Cara with many thanks Jarrod 25/6/96'. Well presented in a modern wooden frame. On canvas on stretchers.

Artist Biography

Jarrod Gabbitas was born in 1968 and is a British artist specialising in representational oil paintings. He holds a degree in Fine Art Painting and an M.A in Art History. He was nominated for the B.P Portrait Award in 1996 and has exhibited widely at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Mall Galleries, London.
