A fine oil painting by the artist James McLernon, depicting an interior scene with two crouching figures. The artist's figure composition and structure has allowed for a great dynamic scene, highlighted by the thick brushwork and intense colour palette. Monogrammed to the lower left-hand corner. Label with additional details to the reverse. On canvas board.

Overall in very good condition, with slight creasing to the corners.

Artist Biography

Born in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland in 1935, James McLernon studied at the Working Men's College in Camden Town. His works have been exhibited in various exhibitions in London. He died in Tunbridge Wells in 2012.
