Description
A wonderful study of perennial borders by British artist James Kidwell Popham (1884-1966). Here Popham has depicted white dahlias enjoying the shade and shelter of this garden wall. The slopes of cottage roof tops continue into the background with scented climbers in full bloom. The impressionistic scene has been beautifully mounted in an ebonised frame with gilt window. Signed by the artist verso. On paper.Condition
Some wear to the gilt window part of the frame. Otherwise in fine condition. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
