A view along the Water of Leith which flows into Edinburgh. Signed to the lower-right edge. The title and artist's address are inscribed on the verso. On watercolour paper laid to card.

Condition

There is some foxing and discolouration. There is wear to the edges of the backing card.

James Heron was a Scottish artist who lived in Edinburgh, and painted many Fife scenes, harbours, farmyard scenes and landscapes around Scotland. Heron exhibited at the Glasgow Institute and the Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture, known as the RSA.
