An original oil on panel work by Jacobus Frederik Sterre De Jong (1866-1920) depicting a shepherdess watching over a small flock of grazing ewes. The painting is beautifully presented in a foliate gilt-effect frame and is signed by the artist to the lower left.
Condition
The condition is very good for a picture of this age. Minor yellowing to the varnish layer.
