A fine 19th Century style oil from the mid 20th Century, showing a pretty young girl dressed in white, standing at the door of the house with a bowl of chicken feed, delicately scattering for the hens in front of the step. The artist has signed to the lower left and the painting has been presented in a substantial gilt frame with swept rail and corners with beaded strap work and acanthus leaf detailing, finished with a linen slip.
