Artist Biography

Jacob Pins (1917-2005) was a printmaker and Japanese art collector. Born in Germany, in 1941 he moved to Israel to study printmaking, creating work that was influenced by both German expressionism and Japanese woodblock prints.

In 1956 he started teaching, soon becoming and an art professor. Later that decade he helped to found the Jerusalem Artists' House.
