A fine original 1804 coloured engraving of The Royal College of Physicians, Warwick Lane, London, by the engraver J. Storer after a drawing by Whichelo. The picture shows an entrance to the college, with neo-classical buildings and three figures on the cobbled street. Inscribed below the plate 'London, Publish'd Dec 1804 by Vernor & Hood Poultry, J. Storer & J. Greig Chapel Str. Pentonville'. Well-presented in a dark frame with gold detail. Unsigned and inscribed. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and light foxing. There is a small crease to the lower left corner, as shown,. There is some trapped dirt behind the glazing, and scuffing to the frame.
