Description

A charming miniature watercolour depicting the tomb of Caecilia Metella, a mausoleum located just outside Rome on the Via Appia. It was built between 30 and 10 BC to honour the noblewoman Caecilia Metella. Well presented in a black frame with a blue and gold mount. Unsigned. On paper.

Condition

Signs of wear consistent with age including discolouration and staining. Some small losses to the surface. The frame is in fine condition.
