A detailed watercolour scene depicting Moroccan figures queuing at the Marshan gate in Tangier. Copied from an earlier 19th-century drawing by David Roberts and engraving by Ebenezer Challis. Unsigned. Well-presented in a large gilt frame with delicate bead and reel running pattern to the inner window. On watercolour paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration to the watercolour and wear to the large gilt frame. The frame has suffered various losses to the running pattern and wear at the mitre joints.
