Isabelle Mulvany

This thrilling new collection from the contemporary artist Isabelle Mulvany is the first directly from her studio in Wiltshire. Full of mysticism, magic and colour, melding folklore and portraiture, she creates unusual characters filled with narrative expression. A selection of pen and ink, watercolour and oils, this collection shows Mulvany's draftsmanship and painterly ability.

Isabelle Mulvany studied Fine Art specialising in sculpture at Central Saint Martins, although her draftsmanship overcame her sculptural practice and she is currently focused on portraiture and figurative illustration. Isabelle relishes folklore symbolism and iconography, which she works into many of her portraits, adding nods to lunar phenomena, omens and other such mythology.
