Description

One of a series of three lino prints of seasonal maidens from the Pagan calendar by Isabelle Mulvany. This lino print shows the Litha maiden. The Pagan calendar marks Litha as Midsummer. The maiden can be seen holding a bunch of flowers, wilted by the sweltering heat. She holds the moon aloft in the other hand and the mark of Midsummer can be seen on her thigh. The artist has signed and dated to the lower right and numbered (18/50) to the lower left. On paper.
