A striking contemporary illustration, showing a group of glamorous girls out for drinks. The painting is full of interesting commentary on Covid, from the year 2020, at the start of the outbreak. One woman, shows off her hand, dripping with hand sanitiser, to her friends, with her stash of flu pills and hand sanitiser bottles at her side. Another holds a bottle of Corona beer, with the branding subtly changed to read "Moron, Light Fear, Extra Panic, 0% Rationale." The artist has signed and dated to the reverse of the paper. The painting has been presented in a simple white wood frame with layered card mount. On paper.

Artist Biography

Isabelle Mulvany studied Fine Art specialising in sculpture at Central Saint Martins, although her draftsmanship overcame her sculptural practice and she is currently focused on portraiture and figurative illustration.

Isabelle relishes folklore symbolism and iconography, which she works into many of her portraits, adding nods to lunar phenomena, omens and other such mythology.
