A fine coastal view in oil from the late 19th Century, showing a stormy beach, with dramatic waves crashing on the shore under a steely grey sky. Gulls wheel over the water. The artist has monogrammed and dated to the lower right corner and inscribed the location to the stretchers at the reverse. On canvas.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and some minor wear to the outer edges.
