Henry S.W. Eyre (1872-1937) - 1921 Oil Pastoral Scene

Description

A pastoral scene with impasto depicting a shepherd herding his flock. Presented in an ornate gilt-effect wooden frame. Signed and dated on the verso along with an indistinct inscription of the name of the artist after whom the work was painted. The canvas itself is earlier, the stamp dating it to the late-19th century. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

There is some slight slackening to the canvas but overall in very good condition.
