Description

A delicate impressionist study of a frosty winters day from the view of West Avenue in Redditch, by the artist Henry E. Foster. Using cool hues and gentle brushstrokes, Foster has captured the atmospheric nature of the snowy garden. Finely presented in a simple wooden frame with gilt effect detailing. Signed and dated in the lower right hand corner with multiple inscriptions on reverse, as shown. Signed and dated. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

The condition is very good. A few minor scuffs around the frame. Inspection under UV light reveals no signs of restoration.
