Perched on top a rocky ridge is this mid-century depiction of a slate roofed chapel, with historic stone entrance and salmon pink render. The artist has been clever with colour, adding brighter tones to the painting's architectural features, while the rest of the scene blends into darker shades of blue and purple. Unsigned. The oil has been beautifully presented in an attractive forest green frame. With a printed label 'From The Glasgow School of Art' with ink 'P. Anthony Brown/ Still Life' fixed verso. On canvas board.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration caused by a buildup of surface dirt. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
