A fine pen and wash work by the artist Henry E. Foster (1921-2010), depicting an English village street scene, with thatched buildings and a crenellated tower. The artist has a firm grasp of the medium, with delicate shadow and form providing a vivid and impressive sense of realism. Well-presented in a double mount and thin black frame, as shown. Signed, inscribed and dated on the reverse. On watercolour paper.Condition
In good condition overall. There is some surface discolouration, and minor marks to the mount. The frame has some scuffing, as shown.
