The artist has employed loose, textural brushstrokes to depict the scene. Signed to the lower right. There is an additional study verso, signed and dated '46'. Well presented behind glass in a substantial gilt frame. On canvas.

Fine craquelure throughout. Light dirtying to the surface. However, overall the artwork is in good condition. Light wear to the frame including some small scuffs.
