Description

A finely detailed engraving depicting a castle owned by the Lords of Carloo, who owned a vast estate in the area which is now the Saint-Job district in Brussels, Belgium. The print is from Jacob Le Roy's (1633-1719) 'Castella Praetoria Nobilium Brabantiae,' a collection of engravings depicting the castles, monasteries, manor houses, and churches of Brabant, each with the coat of arms of the owners. Signed within the plate. On laid.

Condition

Signs of wear consistent with age, including discolouration, light foxing, and creasing to the paper. Small tears around the margins, most notably a 3cm tear on the lower edge. Overall, the artwork is in good condition for its age.
