Description

A charming oil study depicting a man and two horses by a lake. The scene takes place by Tattingstone Hall in Suffolk, a manor house that was destroyed to make way for the Alton Water reservoir in the area in the 1980's. The artist captures this idyllic corner of the village looking very different to how it looks now, with chicken coops and large gardens surrounding the area. Signed and titled to the reverse. After original drawing by unknown artist Neale Eign. Presented in a painted wooden frame. On panel.

Condition

There is craquelure to the surface of the painting with some paint loss to the edge of the picture. There are some surface marks the painting. Some wear and small lossed to the frame.
