Graham Barry Cliverd was an etcher of detailed topographical prints including “The Spires of Oxford” published in 1932. He studied at the Central School of Arts & Crafts and exhibited at RSA, RA, RBA, RCamA, Redfern Gallery, RE, Alpine Gallery and Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.
During the World War I Clilverd served as a camouflage artist and his first published drypoint engravings and etchings date from 1929. During the following eight years he created forty-nine prints dealing with architectural subjects in Britain, Italy, France and Belgium. All were published in London by Connell & Sons in editions ranging from sixty to one hundred and fifty impressions. Clilverd's grand architectural depictions earned him election as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He has watercolours of World War I in the collection of Hove Museum & Art Gallery.
