A fine and accomplished oil painting by the artist Gordon Metcalfe, depicting a beach scene at low tide with figures and boats. Signed to the lower left-hand corner. Well-presented in a speckled, gilt-effect frame with an inner detail in white. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

Painting in fine condition. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. Minor scuffs to the frame.
