Artist Biography
Glynn Thomas is a Cambridge-born printmaker who studied under Walter Hoyle at the Cambridge School of Art, where he specialised in printmaking and illustration. He became Head of Printmaking in 1968 at Ipswich School of Art, a position he held until 1979. Elected RE in 1983, he held a solo exhibition at the Barbican Gallery, London in 1997. Other solo show venues include the Dominion Centre, Toronto, the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester, and the Lyric Hammersmith. His works are held by the Ashmolean, the Museum of London, and the Ipswich Art Gallery collection.
