An elegant early 19th-century pastel portrait of Hanne Simon of Hesslien wearing a flamboyant lace bonnet, floral scarf and a large puff-sleeve gown. Well presented in a distressed gilt-effect frame with original handwritten label verso. The portrait was acquired by Sulis Fine Art as a pair, the other being of the sitter's husband, Joachim Simon. On paper.
Condition
There is a scuff to the lower right of the sitter. Minor dust and debris caught between the artwork and glazing. Small chips to the gilt-effect frame.
