This early devotional painting depicts a serene female figure, possibly the Virgin Mary, with eyes closed and head gently inclined. Condition
A fine network of craquelure is visible across the surface, indicative of age. There are some flakes of paint loss revealing the weave of the canvas beneath. Some marks and scuffs to the frame in keeping with the aesthetic of the piece.
