Gerald Parkinson (b.1926) - Original 1970 Mixed Media. Signed and dated lower right. Artist name and title inscribed in ink on the reverse. Signed and dated. On board. Slight wear to outer most corners of board, but otherwise picture is in fine condition. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.

Gerald Parkinson is primarily a painter of landscapes and coastal scenes. He was born in Shipley, Yorkshire in 1926 and studied at Bradford College of Art. He has exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal West of England Academy, Society of Equestrian Artists and with Sussex and Yorkshire Artist Groups. He has held many one man shows in London, Brighton, Bristol, York, Bradford, Hove, Tunbridge Wells and Lewes. He has also held shows in Bologna, Stockholm and Monte Carlo, His paintings are in the collections of the Brighton & Hove Museum & Art Gallery, Luton Museum and Leicester County Hall.
