An expressive mid-century landscape showing a hamlet of cottage houses surrounded by ploughed fields. The artist has used a combination of muddy watercolours, black ink and soft charcoal to bring a sense of atmosphere to this weathered scene. Signed and dated to the lower right corner. The gestural work has been attractively presented in a dark wood frame and crisp white mount. On paper.
