A delightful still life composition by Georges Danset (1897-1976). Arranged in a spherical glass vase, the delicate petals of anemones and daisies are rendered with precision and a careful consideration of light and shadow. Signed and dated to the lower left. Beautifully presented in a gilt frame with floral corner designs and a lamb's tongue running pattern. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
Some slight discolouration to the paint, but the overall condition is very good. Marks and scuffs to the frame.
