Artist Biography
Painter and etcher the son of artist James Ferrier. Ferrie junior worked most of his life from Edinburgh, painting principally in watercolour. He showed at the RSA where his subject matter depicted scenes around the West Highlands of his native Scotland. A fine etcher, Ferrier was elected RE in 1881, RI in 1898 and RSW in 1881. He also showed at the AAS and GI.
